How to Build a Bullet Proof Mind in Turbulent Times for Optimal Performance with GRIT

Achieve optimal performance both in the workplace and beyond with grit and commitment.

It’s been a wild ride!

IT’S TIME TO Get Ready for the rest of 2023 WITH GRIT AND COMMITMENT!

Every day, we are surrounded by a world of noise and distraction.

And as a business leader, you understand the importance of staying at the top of your game and not getting distracted.

It’s time to get GRITTY.

The world’s TOP leaders know what they want and go after it in the face of adversity, setbacks with commitment and with grit.

You go after your goals with DETERMINATION.

YOU PUSH OUTSIDE OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE DAILY.

AS A HIGH-PERFORMER, YOU KNOW THAT THE MAGIC HAPPENS OUTSIDE OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE!

We live in a constantly changing and disruptive world.

Visionaries ARE ambitious…

YOU think big and plan for MASSIVE GROWTH IN DISRUPTIVE TIMES.

You need to be sharp, energetic, and ready to tackle whatever challenges come your way.

But MORE often than you’d like, the demands of your busy schedule can leave you feeling drained, stressed, and burnt out.

This is where the commitment comes in.

By building a strong connection between your mind, emotions and body, you can empower your inner athlete, and achieve optimal performance both in the workplace and beyond.

In the business world, success is often measured by the results you produce.

However, achieving those results can be incredibly challenging when you’re not operating at your full potential.

The truth is, the state of your physical, emotional and mental health has a huge impact on your ability to perform at your best.

When you’re stressed, exhausted, and out of balance, it’s much more difficult to focus, be productive, and make good decisions.

This is why it’s so important to take care of both your mind, emotions and body.

By doing so, you can build a foundation of strength, resilience, and focus that will enable you to perform at your best, no matter what challenges come your way.

Self-leadership comes first:

As a TOP leader you have to know yourself, to make sure your tendencies, thoughts, emotions and actions are aligned with your goals You know YOURSELF BEST TO WIN.

While regular exercise is beneficial for maintaining a strong & gritty mind, there are other ways to achieve this connection without exercise.

Here are some ways to build a strong and gritty mind without exercise:

Mindful Breathing

Mindful breathing is a simple technique that involves focusing on your breath and observing your thoughts without judgment.

It can help reduce stress, improve focus, and increase self-awareness AND IMPROVE EMOTIONAL REGULATION IN UNCERTAIN TIMES.

Taking a few deep breaths and choose positive emotions before a meeting or presentation can help you remain calm and centered during stressful situations, which can make it easier to make rational decisions and stay focused on getting the outcome you want.

Stretching

Yoga and stretching are physical practices that can help improve flexibility, balance, and strength, as well as reduce stress and anxiety.

Taking a few minutes to stretch before a meeting or presentation can help you stay calm and focused on the end goal during high-pressure situations, which can help you make better decisions and regulate your emotions.

Dominate the Controllable

AS A TOP LEADER, YOU KNOW THAT YOU HAVE CONTROL OF YOUR ATTITUDE, EMOTIONS, PREPARATION AND STRATEGY AND YOU FOCUS ON THAT INSTEAD OF WHAT YOU CAN’T CONTROL THESE DAYS.

Mindful Listening

Mindful listening is a technique that involves paying attention to what someone is saying without judgment or distraction.

It can help improve communication skills, increase empathy, and enhance relationships.

As a leader, practicing mindful listening can help you build stronger connections with your team members and stakeholders, which can improve collaboration and drive positive results.

Sleep

Sleep is crucial for maintaining a strong mind-body connection. Getting enough restorative sleep each night can help improve mood, emotional regulation in stressful situations, increase energy levels, and enhance cognitive function.

As a leader, getting enough sleep can help you stay focused and alert during important meetings and conversations, which can improve your communication skills and decision-making abilities.

By incorporating these into your daily routine, you can improve your focus, resilience, and emotional intelligence, which are all important qualities for effective leadership.

Remember, the mind, emotions and body are interconnected, and by taking care of your own self leadership, you can achieve your full potential as a leader.

Discover the Secrets of the World’s TOP High Performers

What do hard work, good health, goal setting, scheduling with intention, measuring ROI, reflecting, and refocusing have in common?

Those are a few traits of the world’s top high performers.

We all face things like fear, fatigue, and frustration these days.

High performers are no different.

But…

High performers are able to push through because they have the following habits that move the needle forward.

Here are the habits of the globe’s most prolific achievers.

1 – High performers are hardworking.

High performers love challenges and are confident that they’ll achieve their goals even during these uncertain times.

To accomplish big things, relentlessly going after your goals and visions and hard work is required. High-performers don’t shrink from challenges, and that not only helps you progress in life but inspires those around you.

2 – High performers are healthier than their peers.

They eat better. They work out more. The top 5% of high achievers are 40% more likely to exercise three times per week.

Everyone of you wants optimal health, and you may think you have to trade health and your personal life for success but you’re wrong.

In survey after survey, high performers are more energized—mentally, emotionally, and physically.

And if you also have the level of self-respect and self-love to drink water, get enough sleep, and do the hard things required to be in your best shape possible, you can also achieve high performance!

Decide today to demand more from yourself and that nothing less than your best health and wellness is a goal.

3 – High performers set goals and intentions.

Goals and intentions take you from where you are now to where you want to be in the future.

What do you want to accomplish?

Make it specific and know exactly what you want. Start with the end in mind!

What is your big vision for the next six months? How does it feel? I love to get into the feeling state of my goals every morning during my morning routine.

How about you?

Our subconscious can’t tell the difference between what’s real and what’s imagined, so if we create something vividly enough, subconsciously it becomes our new reality.

With a whopping 95% failure rate, it’s clear that there is a problem with resolutions. To be a high-performer in all areas of your life, you need to understand how to set your goals and take the steps to achieve them long-term results.

The biggest secret is that you need to move outside of your comfort zone, take personal responsibility, and make a non-negotiable commitment.

When you change what you’ve always done with enough intention, you can accomplish your biggest dreams.

4 – High performers are schedule masters.

Set aside an intentional time every day to work on your goals without distractions. Let me know if you set aside 90 minutes each morning to work without distractions.

5 – High performers measure their progress.

Are you making progress? Do you need to adjust? Measuring the journey meticulously

What gets measured gets done.

6 – High performers reflect and refocus.

What did you do well? What can you do better? How can you improve?

How To Be a Great Leader in Disruptive Times

When it comes to your life and health, are you in charge or do you feel like uncertainty and stress took away your work/life balance and health & fitness routine?

Do you wake up daily operating optimally like a Rolls Royce, or do you feel tired, stressed, and ready for coffee? Or do you know you can do better as a leader in the way you look, move, act, and the way you feel?

A Rolls-Royce Phantom is hand-made and requires precision detail and design. Your life, body & health need to be custom designed too. Running a company takes unstoppable stamina strength and energy.

When you’re a fit leader you rule like a lion! 🦁

To be an effective leader, you must lead yourself first.

Leadership is all about performance.

We’ve all been in the midst of a setback at some point during the last two years!

Now is the time as a leader to turn a setback into a setup for something greater! It’s time to bounce back better and roar like a lion.

Here are 5 Reasons You Need To Be Fit To Rule In Disruptive Times and How To Get Started.

1 – Lead a company with increased energy

The connection between fitness and leadership goes back to when “fit to lead” meant that a person was physically fit enough to lead a community.

Running a company takes a lot of energy.

Look at fit CEOS Like Tim Cook, Mark Zuckerberg and Jack Dorsey. While you may be able to come up with impressive excuses to not work out every morning, or blame it on lack of time, they fight back time and make sure they remain fit!

As a great leader, you understand that to be operating at your best, you must optimize your physical and mental fitness.

Fitness has been proven to increase energy and productivity! This helps you face the challenges that we’re all facing with confidence.

2 – Lead a company with increased cognitive ability

Studies proved that even moderate levels of exercise increase cognitive ability and will help you make better decisions and come up with creative business strategies in disruptive times.

Being physically fit increases mental stamina and endurance which makes you an effective leader in times of uncertainty!

3 – Lead a company with increased Resilience to Stress

Being fit helps you perform under stress and increase resilience in the ‘new normal’.

When you are feeling stressed in uncertain times, fitness gives you a push to keep going.

By gradually increasing the intensity of the cardio or the weights you’re lifting you push yourself outside of your comfort zone and by pushing your limits you will build your resilience muscle.

4 – Lead by example

As a healthy and disciplined leader, you inspire your team to be healthy and more energetic. This increases the overall productivity of your company.

Your team is more likely to be disciplined and less likely to get sick which decreases healthcare costs.

5 –  Increase your performance and success

Being fit to lead is actually integral to your success.

So how do you keep yourself fit and healthy? You probably already know the answer to that. Drink more water, eat healthier food, exercise regularly, and get enough sleep.

This week’s challenge is to take action.

For the next month, pick one new habit you’ll commit to doing to improve your physical fitness and make it something you can easily integrate into your life.

For example, you can decide to go to bed 30 minutes earlier every night. Or bring a healthy lunch to work rather than eating out or ordering takeout. Or take the stairs rather than the elevator and park further away from your destination.

I challenge you to take this new action every day for a month. Pay attention to the difference it makes in performance and how you feel.

At the end of the month, pick another new habit to commit to, stacking on top of the last one. This is called habit stacking.

Remember success is less about luck and more about practice.

Your greatness isn’t born, you can build it!

High-performance can be created. Fit Executives are effective and successful executives

5 Power Habits of a Great Leader for High-Performance in Disruptive Times

Since the pandemic started, I know many of you have felt burned out and exhausted physically and emotionally at times. I know I have, which can decrease productivity. Don’t worry. Help is on the way!

It’s been a long stretch of disruptions, hasn’t it? For me, it certainly has. If you’ve cruised through the last two crazy years of the most challenging time in our history, and you’re “crushing it” in your fitness, your business, and your life, good for you!

I wish that was true for everyone.

If you’re like most of us, it’s been a time of unexpected change and reflection because everything is different from what we were expecting.

If your goals for 2022 started out with wanting to live a healthier lifestyle, have more energy, or make more money, there is good news: a breakthrough is still possible for you. You still have time!

To be an effective leader, you must lead yourself first.

Disruption is never easy, especially in all areas of our lives.

Maybe you’re concerned about your health or relationships?

Or your weight has crept up, and your fitness has dropped in the ranks of your priorities.

It’s time to seize this opportunity to make the changes you want to make and move the needle in the right direction.

5 Power Habits of a Great Leader for High Performance in Difficult Times

#1 – Have a Bulletproof Mindset to Up-Level Your Inner Game

Mastering the skill of self-leadership starts with mastering your mind. Self-leadership is about constantly developing your inner game, which is your mindset, and your  outer game, which is action. Achieving mastery in all aspects of your inner game is your intention, self-awareness, confidence, and belief in yourself, and your outer game consists of influence and impact. A bulletproof mindset helps you lead with agility, creativity, and empathy.

#2 – To control your emotions, thoughts, and behaviors, you must have Emotional Intelligence.

Emotional maturity skills help you respond to challenges in positive and efficient ways rather than reacting to them. A response is a deliberate, thought-out plan to address a challenge, while a reaction is a spontaneous outburst. Oh come on. I know we’ve all been there. Perfection isn’t possible. A reaction is driven by emotion, and a response is driven by logic or reasoning.

#3Self-Leadership

Top high performers have self-leadership. Be the CEO of your life with self-leadership. This is the practice of intentionally influencing your thoughts, feelings, and actions towards your goals.

This gives you the ability to lead yourself to achieve your personal and big professional goals. It involves having a good perspective on who you are, where you want to go, and what you can accomplish.

#4 – Top high performers lead with influence

Influence is another essential characteristic of high performers. As an effective leader, you have more influence over others because your beliefs and actions align with your values. You inspire the people that you influence to work harder to achieve the success that you’ve accomplished.

As a great leader, you need to have the ability to lead your team by example. This is the result of intentional action. Through self-awareness and self-confidence, you increase your capacity to influence. Because when you yourself are grounded, you can focus on others and what’s best for them. You can have a positive impact on yourself and the world around you in times of change.

This means great leadership begins with self-leadership skills.

If you can control your own emotions, thoughts, and behavior in these challenging times to accomplish personal goals, this translates as a positive influence on those around you.

#5Curiosity Learning & Personal Development.

To harness the power of personal development, you need a passion for learning and a sense of curiosity. Almost all great leaders love learning and are curious. Curiosity helps you close any knowledge gaps, which makes you more competent. It also inspires you to find new ways to solve old problems.

High-performance leadership is all about personal growth and becoming a better leader. It’s about being honest with yourself, not self-criticism. It’s about recognizing what you’re doing that is and isn’t working and how you can make positive changes.

Self-growth is about striving to continuously improve yourself. It requires being open to feedback and creating a plan to keep you accountable and on track. Committing to self-growth can have a positive impact on your career and help you lead by example for those around you.

Again, the 5 power habits of a great leader are having a bulletproof mindset, emotional intelligence, self-leadership, influence, learning and personal development.

What would you add to this list?

Right now is the time to take action.

Be a part of the solution to self leadership in disruptive times, and get real answers to the problems we are all facing. We’re in this together. You are strong and can do hard things!
