How to Build a Bullet Proof Mind in Turbulent Times for Optimal Performance with GRIT

Achieve optimal performance both in the workplace and beyond with grit and commitment.

It’s been a wild ride!

IT’S TIME TO Get Ready for the rest of 2023 WITH GRIT AND COMMITMENT!

Every day, we are surrounded by a world of noise and distraction.

And as a business leader, you understand the importance of staying at the top of your game and not getting distracted.

It’s time to get GRITTY.

The world’s TOP leaders know what they want and go after it in the face of adversity, setbacks with commitment and with grit.

You go after your goals with DETERMINATION.

YOU PUSH OUTSIDE OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE DAILY.

AS A HIGH-PERFORMER, YOU KNOW THAT THE MAGIC HAPPENS OUTSIDE OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE!

We live in a constantly changing and disruptive world.

Visionaries ARE ambitious…

YOU think big and plan for MASSIVE GROWTH IN DISRUPTIVE TIMES.

You need to be sharp, energetic, and ready to tackle whatever challenges come your way.

But MORE often than you’d like, the demands of your busy schedule can leave you feeling drained, stressed, and burnt out.

This is where the commitment comes in.

By building a strong connection between your mind, emotions and body, you can empower your inner athlete, and achieve optimal performance both in the workplace and beyond.

In the business world, success is often measured by the results you produce.

However, achieving those results can be incredibly challenging when you’re not operating at your full potential.

The truth is, the state of your physical, emotional and mental health has a huge impact on your ability to perform at your best.

When you’re stressed, exhausted, and out of balance, it’s much more difficult to focus, be productive, and make good decisions.

This is why it’s so important to take care of both your mind, emotions and body.

By doing so, you can build a foundation of strength, resilience, and focus that will enable you to perform at your best, no matter what challenges come your way.

Self-leadership comes first:

As a TOP leader you have to know yourself, to make sure your tendencies, thoughts, emotions and actions are aligned with your goals You know YOURSELF BEST TO WIN.

While regular exercise is beneficial for maintaining a strong & gritty mind, there are other ways to achieve this connection without exercise.

Here are some ways to build a strong and gritty mind without exercise:

Mindful Breathing

Mindful breathing is a simple technique that involves focusing on your breath and observing your thoughts without judgment.

It can help reduce stress, improve focus, and increase self-awareness AND IMPROVE EMOTIONAL REGULATION IN UNCERTAIN TIMES.

Taking a few deep breaths and choose positive emotions before a meeting or presentation can help you remain calm and centered during stressful situations, which can make it easier to make rational decisions and stay focused on getting the outcome you want.

Stretching

Yoga and stretching are physical practices that can help improve flexibility, balance, and strength, as well as reduce stress and anxiety.

Taking a few minutes to stretch before a meeting or presentation can help you stay calm and focused on the end goal during high-pressure situations, which can help you make better decisions and regulate your emotions.

Dominate the Controllable

AS A TOP LEADER, YOU KNOW THAT YOU HAVE CONTROL OF YOUR ATTITUDE, EMOTIONS, PREPARATION AND STRATEGY AND YOU FOCUS ON THAT INSTEAD OF WHAT YOU CAN’T CONTROL THESE DAYS.

Mindful Listening

Mindful listening is a technique that involves paying attention to what someone is saying without judgment or distraction.

It can help improve communication skills, increase empathy, and enhance relationships.

As a leader, practicing mindful listening can help you build stronger connections with your team members and stakeholders, which can improve collaboration and drive positive results.

Sleep

Sleep is crucial for maintaining a strong mind-body connection. Getting enough restorative sleep each night can help improve mood, emotional regulation in stressful situations, increase energy levels, and enhance cognitive function.

As a leader, getting enough sleep can help you stay focused and alert during important meetings and conversations, which can improve your communication skills and decision-making abilities.

By incorporating these into your daily routine, you can improve your focus, resilience, and emotional intelligence, which are all important qualities for effective leadership.

Remember, the mind, emotions and body are interconnected, and by taking care of your own self leadership, you can achieve your full potential as a leader.

Limiting Beliefs

How To Push Past Roadblocks In Uncertain Times To Be Limitless

You have probably experienced it.

Once you achieve a big goal or a dream and take action towards it, you get hit with the inner mental resistance and roadblocks that keep you from starting.

What is holding you back, and how can you live your life by design and push past roadblocks and blind spots?

You might be surprised at what prevents you from achieving your desired success.

Here are five limiting beliefs and how to fix them:

1 – You wait for the  perfect “right” time.

You keep putting something off because it’s not the “right” time yet. You need to make a few more improvements, or whatever it is that you’re putting off doing. You wait for the economy to improve, or for a sign that you should start. This is just your mind playing delay tactics, and there’s never going to be a perfect time. The right time is now. Only by starting will you discover what else needs to be done or improved, not before.

Procrastination and perfectionism can hold us back as recovering perfectionists. When I help people build the habits that are critical for success, many times I see that you’re not aware of what’s holding you back. Failing to start is a big one because you get stuck in analysis paralysis—there is never going to be a perfect time before starting.

The first thing that might be holding you back from success is perfectionism.

2 – You’re following someone else’s definition of success.

This means you’re comparing your performance to someone else’s (or society’s) timeline and goals. I know for me, this has held me back. Create your own definition of success. Once you do, it should be the only one you pay attention to.

3 – You stay stuck in your comfort zone because you’re afraid to fail.

Failures are a great gift! Don’t live in fear of them. Instead, view them as the ultimate way to learn and grow.

Unfortunately, when it comes to taking a bold step, for some reason, you might not commit to your dreams and postpone them. Fear is what paralyzes you and stops you from acting.

The only thing that cures your fears is action. Only via confident action can you enter your area of discomfort and expand your comfort zone.

If you’re holding yourself back because of fear of failure, you’ll never go as far. Failures are an integral part of every great success story. So, take the leap. If you fall, get up, figure out why, make the appropriate adjustments, and try again.

4 – You ask yourself the wrong questions.

You spend your time and energy wondering “if”—if what you’re doing is possible, if you’re good enough to achieve it, if it’s the right thing to do. These questions are unhelpful and suck all the energy and motivation out of you. Change these questions to how, who, and what, such as, “How will I make this happen?” “What’s the first step?” “Who can help me with this?” and spend your energy finding answers that will help you move closer to success. That means the roadblocks above will have more influence on your actions and… the best thing you can do is just not listen to them and find the right guidance and support.

5 – You’re always in a rush.

You may think you’re doing everything you possibly can, but sometimes it takes slowing down and practicing deep mindfulness and self-awareness—like many of us are doing as we reflect on the past few turbulent years and plan for the ones ahead—to see your blind spots.

These roadblocks are the reasons why so many people give up on their dreams even before starting to work on them, because…

… these roadblocks don’t keep you from achieving your goals.

Rather, they keep you from doing the most important thing for success—taking action.

Here’s how to fix it to live a life by design. The ONLY way to beat your inner roadblocks is to do what they’re holding you from doing—take action!

Even if it’s a small action, take it. Because once you take the smallest action, your brain notices that it’s not hard to do, so you’ll continue to take actions towards your goals.

And if you do it consistently, the inner roadblocks will start to fade away, and you’re going to take action without thinking about it.

Because you’re taking action, you’ll start seeing some light at the end of the tunnel and…

… that’ll push you to move forward.

I hope you found this helpful!

Are you ready for a change?

I will help you free yourself of the limitations and unconscious patterns that are stopping you from having the life you have always dreamed of.

My stuck-to-unstoppable boss plan system helps uncover your number one goal and allows you to step into your authentic and aligned life by design.

Discover the Secrets of the World’s TOP High Performers

What do hard work, good health, goal setting, scheduling with intention, measuring ROI, reflecting, and refocusing have in common?

Those are a few traits of the world’s top high performers.

We all face things like fear, fatigue, and frustration these days.

High performers are no different.

But…

High performers are able to push through because they have the following habits that move the needle forward.

Here are the habits of the globe’s most prolific achievers.

1 – High performers are hardworking.

High performers love challenges and are confident that they’ll achieve their goals even during these uncertain times.

To accomplish big things, relentlessly going after your goals and visions and hard work is required. High-performers don’t shrink from challenges, and that not only helps you progress in life but inspires those around you.

2 – High performers are healthier than their peers.

They eat better. They work out more. The top 5% of high achievers are 40% more likely to exercise three times per week.

Everyone of you wants optimal health, and you may think you have to trade health and your personal life for success but you’re wrong.

In survey after survey, high performers are more energized—mentally, emotionally, and physically.

And if you also have the level of self-respect and self-love to drink water, get enough sleep, and do the hard things required to be in your best shape possible, you can also achieve high performance!

Decide today to demand more from yourself and that nothing less than your best health and wellness is a goal.

3 – High performers set goals and intentions.

Goals and intentions take you from where you are now to where you want to be in the future.

What do you want to accomplish?

Make it specific and know exactly what you want. Start with the end in mind!

What is your big vision for the next six months? How does it feel? I love to get into the feeling state of my goals every morning during my morning routine.

How about you?

Our subconscious can’t tell the difference between what’s real and what’s imagined, so if we create something vividly enough, subconsciously it becomes our new reality.

With a whopping 95% failure rate, it’s clear that there is a problem with resolutions. To be a high-performer in all areas of your life, you need to understand how to set your goals and take the steps to achieve them long-term results.

The biggest secret is that you need to move outside of your comfort zone, take personal responsibility, and make a non-negotiable commitment.

When you change what you’ve always done with enough intention, you can accomplish your biggest dreams.

4 – High performers are schedule masters.

Set aside an intentional time every day to work on your goals without distractions. Let me know if you set aside 90 minutes each morning to work without distractions.

5 – High performers measure their progress.

Are you making progress? Do you need to adjust? Measuring the journey meticulously

What gets measured gets done.

6 – High performers reflect and refocus.

What did you do well? What can you do better? How can you improve?

Six Strategies To Be RESILIENT AF

In this blog, I shared about the darkest moments of my life during lockdown in pandemic.

Honestly, there have been so many that I thought I would just start with one. My YouTube channel got stolen in 2020, and I still remember how hard that was at the time to get all of my intellectual property back!

I have also been through my computer trying to jump to its death to another one trying to drink coffee.  On top of that, my car was at the shop for three months last year…

That is why I believe resilience is my superpower. For the most part, I know that my problems are first-world problems. It may seem privileged of me, but these are indeed painful for me and could harm my mental health, especially in these trying times. But I’m just glad that I overcame them with resilience and grit.

Resiliency requires changing your mindset and habits so that you can become unbreakable.

With all that drama, I had to bounce back. I’ve decided to start over and think about my old channel as a practice channel.

That being said, I want to help you to thrive and not just survive in these uncertain times.

I bought the domain ResilientAF.com to prove to myself that I am gritty and can get through anything.

I also launched my podcast about going from Stuck to Unstoppable to help you bounce back better and be #Unstoppable #Unbreakable and #Unshakable.

Here is a quote that inspired me from Holocaust survivor and author of “Man’s search for Meaning”, Victor Frankl. Dr. Meyer of the mental wellness society mentioned him this morning in his video on helping support Ukraine:

“Between stimulus and response, there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.”

― Viktor E. Frankl

Here are my Six Tips On How To Become Resilient AF!

Tip #1: Develop a resilient growth mindset

If you look at challenges as opportunities to grow, you’re more likely to take action to improve your mood, performance, and situation.

A resilient mindset is a set of  beliefs that includes how you see yourself, how you interact with others, and how you respond in times of uncertainty.

If you’re thinking about worst case scenarios, your brain defaults to the negative.

Here’s the good news, you can rewrite any negative story to a more positive one.

Your new story can be one of strength.

The great news is you’re a survivor and have already survived 100% of the worst things that have ever happened to you.

Whether it’s losing loved ones, career setbacks, a broken heart…yet here you are, still standing!

If you’re going through hell… keep going, get more determined than ever. You’ll look back with perspective and see how you’ve grown!

Our beliefs drive our behavior. If your story is negative, you’ll operate out of place of fear. Conversely, if you view this as one example of how adversity will not defeat you, you are more likely to take action.

Get comfortable with being uncomfortable. Things are gonna go wrong when we are stretching, learning, and growing. It’s all part of the process.

Tip #2: Stop trying to hustle all the time!

As an entrepreneur, I have heard “If you’re grinding, grind harder. If you’re hustling, hustle harder.” This is not a sustainable way to live.

By taking time off for self-care daily and on the weekends, I find that I have much more to give to others.

I say this because I realized that during the pandemic I have been putting a lot of pressure on myself and it was exhausting.

I want to help all you overachievers like me shut down your inner critic, that voice that tells you to do more and that you’re not enough. You can only fail if you quit, so keep going and don’t forget to have rest and enjoy the ride. You are enough!

Tip #3: Get support

It’s crazy for you to think you need to do everything on your own. If you’re finding yourself stuck, struggling, off your game, or in uncertainty, it’s okay to reach out for support.

I do. My sister, friends, coaches, and colleagues are there for me!

Embrace the fact that things usually won’t go as planned and support is needed.

Tip #4: Align yourself with your priorities and intentions

What if I told you that, your world would be completely turned upside down?

You could spend quality time with your family, reassess your priorities, and live in sweats. Perception is reality. It’s time to look for the silver linings!

Resilient people make sure their actions align with their intentions.

You might say your family is your number one priority, but do your behaviors reflect that? During uncertain times, I do things that support my physical and mental health as this aligns with my values. It’s time to get back to what is truly important.

Tip #5: Be grateful

To be resilient, cultivate gratitude. This helps you off-set negativity and primes your brain to start scanning for the good things and build a positive growth mindset.

Gratitude is the best predictor of well-being and a strong element of resilience.

When you practice gratitude, your relationships get better, you’ll have lower blood pressure, and have less anxiety and depression. The benefits are almost immediate and limitless.

I am grateful to all of you!

Tip #6: Be optimistic

Optimism does not mean you see the world through rose-colored glasses. It means you are deliberate about the way you interpret the adversity in your life. Every situation, especially the crappy ones, provides an opportunity to choose your interpretation.

Plus, when we pay attention to the good things, we find more of them because we find what we’re looking for.

Utilize the power of positive thinking.

Creating a positive thought process pays off in every part of your life.

A positive outlook instills success in work, personal relationships, and has many health benefits. A positive outlook has been shown to reduce stress and can improve sleep, memory, and happiness.

Looking back If I had let my anxiety get the best of me, I could have watched my business crumble. Instead, I let myself feel it and then moved forward and made a complete pivot.
