Sleep deprivation, bad diet habits, and dehydration are only part of what busy professionals face in 2022.
Are you worrying about long life and making 2022 the greatest year of your life? If you said, “Yes,” then commit to doing away with excuses that are holding you back!
Tune in to this episode and learn the 6 REASONS WHY YOU NEED TO CRUSH GOALS NOW.
When it comes to your life and health, are you in charge or do you feel like uncertainty and stress took away your work/life balance and health & fitness routine?
Do you wake up daily operating optimally like a Rolls Royce, or do you feel tired, stressed, and ready for coffee? Or do you know you can do better as a leader in the way you look, move, act, and the way you feel?
A Rolls-Royce Phantom is hand-made and requires precision detail and design. Your life, body & health need to be custom designed too. Running a company takes unstoppable stamina strength and energy.
When you’re a fit leader you rule like a lion! 🦁
To be an effective leader, you must lead yourself first.
Leadership is all about performance.
We’ve all been in the midst of a setback at some point during the last two years!
Now is the time as a leader to turn a setback into a setup for something greater! It’s time to bounce back better and roar like a lion.
Here are 5 Reasons You Need To Be Fit To Rule In Disruptive Timesand How To Get Started.
1 – Lead a company with increased energy
The connection between fitness and leadership goes back to when “fit to lead” meant that a person was physically fit enough to lead a community.
Running a company takes a lot of energy.
Look at fit CEOS Like Tim Cook, Mark Zuckerberg and Jack Dorsey. While you may be able to come up with impressive excuses to not work out every morning, or blame it on lack of time, they fight back time and make sure they remain fit!
As a great leader, you understand that to be operating at your best, you must optimize your physical and mental fitness.
Fitness has been proven to increase energy and productivity! This helps you face the challenges that we’re all facing with confidence.
2 – Lead a company with increased cognitive ability
Studies proved that even moderate levels of exercise increase cognitive ability and will help you make better decisions and come up with creative business strategies in disruptive times.
Being physically fit increases mental stamina and endurance which makes you an effective leader in times of uncertainty!
3 – Lead a company with increased Resilience to Stress
Being fit helps you perform under stress and increase resilience in the ‘new normal’.
When you are feeling stressed in uncertain times, fitness gives you a push to keep going.
By gradually increasing the intensity of the cardio or the weights you’re lifting you push yourself outside of your comfort zone and by pushing your limits you will build your resilience muscle.
4 – Lead by example
As a healthy and disciplined leader, you inspire your team to be healthy and more energetic. This increases the overall productivity of your company.
Your team is more likely to be disciplined and less likely to get sick which decreases healthcare costs.
5 – Increase your performance and success
Being fit to lead is actually integral to your success.
So how do you keep yourself fit and healthy? You probably already know the answer to that. Drink more water, eat healthier food, exercise regularly, and get enough sleep.
This week’s challenge is to take action.
For the next month, pick one new habit you’ll commit to doing to improve your physical fitness and make it something you can easily integrate into your life.
For example, you can decide to go to bed 30 minutes earlier every night. Or bring a healthy lunch to work rather than eating out or ordering takeout. Or take the stairs rather than the elevator and park further away from your destination.
I challenge you to take this new action every day for a month. Pay attention to the difference it makes in performance and how you feel.
At the end of the month, pick another new habit to commit to, stacking on top of the last one. This is called habit stacking.
Remember success is less about luck and more about practice.
Your greatness isn’t born, you can build it!
High-performance can be created. Fit Executives are effective and successful executives

It’s been a long stretch of disruptions, hasn’t it? For me, it certainly has. If you’ve cruised through the last two crazy years of the most challenging time in our history, and you’re “crushing it” in your fitness, your business, and your life, good for you!
I wish that was true for everyone.
If you’re like most of us, it’s been a time of unexpected change and reflection because everything is different from what we were expecting.
If your goals for 2022 started out with wanting to live a healthier lifestyle, have more energy, or make more money, there is good news: a breakthrough is still possible for you. You still have time!
To be an effective leader, you must lead yourself first.
Disruption is never easy, especially in all areas of our lives.
Maybe you’re concerned about your health or relationships?
Or your weight has crept up, and your fitness has dropped in the ranks of your priorities.
It’s time to seize this opportunity to make the changes you want to make and move the needle in the right direction.
5 Power Habits of a Great Leader for High Performance in Difficult Times
#1 – Have a Bulletproof Mindset to Up-Level Your Inner Game
Mastering the skill of self-leadership starts with mastering your mind. Self-leadership is about constantly developing your inner game, which is your mindset, and yourouter game, which is action. Achieving mastery in all aspects of your inner game is your intention, self-awareness, confidence, and belief in yourself, and your outer game consists of influence and impact. A bulletproof mindset helps you lead with agility, creativity, and empathy.
#2 – To control your emotions, thoughts, and behaviors, you must have Emotional Intelligence.
Emotional maturity skills help you respond to challenges in positive and efficient ways rather than reacting to them. A response is a deliberate, thought-out plan to address a challenge, while a reaction is a spontaneous outburst. Oh come on. I know we’ve all been there. Perfection isn’t possible. A reaction is driven by emotion, and a response is driven by logic or reasoning.
#3 – Self-Leadership
Top high performers have self-leadership. Be the CEO of your life with self-leadership. This is the practice of intentionally influencing your thoughts, feelings, and actions towards your goals.
This gives you the ability to lead yourself to achieve your personal and big professional goals. It involves having a good perspective on who you are, where you want to go, and what you can accomplish.
#4 – Top high performers lead with influence
Influence is another essential characteristic of high performers. As an effective leader, you have more influence over others because your beliefs and actions align with your values. You inspire the people that you influence to work harder to achieve the success that you’ve accomplished.
As a great leader, you need to have the ability to lead your team by example. This is the result of intentional action. Through self-awareness and self-confidence, you increase your capacity to influence. Because when you yourself are grounded, you can focus on others and what’s best for them. You can have a positive impact on yourself and the world around you in times of change.
This means great leadership begins with self-leadership skills.
If you can control your own emotions, thoughts, and behavior in these challenging times to accomplish personal goals, this translates as a positive influence on those around you.
#5 – Curiosity Learning & Personal Development.
To harness the power of personal development, you need a passion for learning and a sense of curiosity. Almost all great leaders love learning and are curious. Curiosity helps you close any knowledge gaps, which makes you more competent. It also inspires you to find new ways to solve old problems.
High-performance leadership is all about personal growth and becoming a better leader. It’s about being honest with yourself, not self-criticism. It’s about recognizing what you’re doing that is and isn’t working and how you can make positive changes.
Self-growth is about striving to continuously improve yourself. It requires being open to feedback and creating a plan to keep you accountable and on track. Committing to self-growth can have a positive impact on your career and help you lead by example for those around you.
Again, the 5 power habits of a great leader are having a bulletproof mindset, emotional intelligence, self-leadership, influence, learning and personal development.
What would you add to this list?
Right now is the time to take action.
Be a part of the solution to self leadership in disruptive times, and get real answers to the problems we are all facing. We’re in this together. You are strong and can do hard things!

In this blog, I shared about the darkest moments of my life during lockdown in pandemic.
Honestly, there have been so many that I thought I would just start with one. My YouTube channel got stolen in 2020, and I still remember how hard that was at the time to get all of my intellectual property back!
I have also been through my computer trying to jump to its death to another one trying to drink coffee. On top of that, my car was at the shop for three months last year…
That is why I believe resilience is my superpower. For the most part, I know that my problems are first-world problems. It may seem privileged of me, but these are indeed painful for me and could harm my mental health, especially in these trying times. But I’m just glad that I overcame them with resilience and grit.
Resiliency requires changing your mindset and habits so that you can become unbreakable.
With all that drama, I had to bounce back. I’ve decided to start over and think about my old channel as a practice channel.
That being said, I want to help you to thrive and not just survive in these uncertain times.
I bought the domain ResilientAF.com to prove to myself that I am gritty and can get through anything.
I also launched my podcast about going from Stuck to Unstoppable to help you bounce back better and be #Unstoppable #Unbreakable and #Unshakable.
Here is a quote that inspired me from Holocaust survivor and author of “Man’s search for Meaning”, Victor Frankl. Dr. Meyer of the mental wellness society mentioned him this morning in his video on helping support Ukraine:
“Between stimulus and response, there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.”
― Viktor E. Frankl
Here are my Six Tips On How To Become Resilient AF!
Tip #1: Develop a resilient growth mindset
If you look at challenges as opportunities to grow, you’re more likely to take action to improve your mood, performance, and situation.
A resilient mindset is a set of beliefs that includes how you see yourself, how you interact with others, and how you respond in times of uncertainty.
If you’re thinking about worst case scenarios, your brain defaults to the negative.
Here’s the good news, you can rewrite any negative story to a more positive one.
Your new story can be one of strength.
The great news is you’re a survivor and have already survived 100% of the worst things that have ever happened to you.
Whether it’s losing loved ones, career setbacks, a broken heart…yet here you are, still standing!
If you’re going through hell… keep going, get more determined than ever. You’ll look back with perspective and see how you’ve grown!
Our beliefs drive our behavior. If your story is negative, you’ll operate out of place of fear. Conversely, if you view this as one example of how adversity will not defeat you, you are more likely to take action.
Get comfortable with being uncomfortable. Things are gonna go wrong when we are stretching, learning, and growing. It’s all part of the process.
Tip #2: Stop trying to hustle all the time!
As an entrepreneur, I have heard “If you’re grinding, grind harder. If you’re hustling, hustle harder.” This is not a sustainable way to live.
By taking time off for self-care daily and on the weekends, I find that I have much more to give to others.
I say this because I realized that during the pandemic I have been putting a lot of pressure on myself and it was exhausting.
I want to help all you overachievers like me shut down your inner critic, that voice that tells you to do more and that you’re not enough. You can only fail if you quit, so keep going and don’t forget to have rest and enjoy the ride. You are enough!
Tip #3: Get support
It’s crazy for you to think you need to do everything on your own. If you’re finding yourself stuck, struggling, off your game, or in uncertainty, it’s okay to reach out for support.
I do. My sister, friends, coaches, and colleagues are there for me!
Embrace the fact that things usually won’t go as planned and support is needed.
Tip #4: Align yourself with your priorities and intentions
What if I told you that, your world would be completely turned upside down?
You could spend quality time with your family, reassess your priorities, and live in sweats. Perception is reality. It’s time to look for the silver linings!
Resilient people make sure their actions align with their intentions.
You might say your family is your number one priority, but do your behaviors reflect that? During uncertain times, I do things that support my physical and mental health as this aligns with my values. It’s time to get back to what is truly important.
Tip #5: Be grateful
To be resilient, cultivate gratitude. This helps you off-set negativity and primes your brain to start scanning for the good things and build a positive growth mindset.
Gratitude is the best predictor of well-being and a strong element of resilience.
When you practice gratitude, your relationships get better, you’ll have lower blood pressure, and have less anxiety and depression. The benefits are almost immediate and limitless.
I am grateful to all of you!
Tip #6: Be optimistic
Optimism does not mean you see the world through rose-colored glasses. It means you are deliberate about the way you interpret the adversity in your life. Every situation, especially the crappy ones, provides an opportunity to choose your interpretation.
Plus, when we pay attention to the good things, we find more of them because we find what we’re looking for.
Utilize the power of positive thinking.
Creating a positive thought process pays off in every part of your life.
A positive outlook instills success in work, personal relationships, and has many health benefits. A positive outlook has been shown to reduce stress and can improve sleep, memory, and happiness.
Looking back If I had let my anxiety get the best of me, I could have watched my business crumble. Instead, I let myself feel it and then moved forward and made a complete pivot.

Luckily, the ability to have a tiger-like confidence can be cultivated and worked on.
In this episode, Lisa G. discusses about 5 ways to be like a tiger, so that you can hack your inner game to feel more confident, happier & more successful!
While we can’t control all of the factors that are causing stress these days, it’s important to have ways to boost your mood and be happier.
With your hectic schedules and the pandemic, many of us have experienced anxiety and trauma.
I know I have…
As a high-performance coach for executives, each week I bring you tips to give you the edge with fitness, mindset, and nutrition strategies.
You need self-leadership in these times of uncertainty.
Here are 5 science-backed hacks you can take to change your outlook and feel less overwhelmed so that you can be happier.
Hack #1: Stay connected
Healthy relationships can help us face our challenges and celebrate our wins.
It’s important to make time for your friends, maintain a sense of humor, and work on having good communication and conflict resolution skills.
Hack #2: Make room for the things that you enjoy
With so many stressful things in your schedule, it’s important to make room for activities that make you happy!
This can be challenging, but definitely not impossible.
I am making time to ski and hike this winter because being in the mountains makes me happier.
What fun activities you can schedule that makes you happy?
Hack #3: Get help when you need it
Can you delegate some of your tasks?
Can you ask for support from friends or a professional?
This can make a big difference in how you feel. Reach out to your network for support, whether it’s a colleague, friend, family member, or a coach.
Hack #4: Make self-care & meditation a priority to decrease stress levels
Breathing, getting enough sleep, and meditation are simple daily routines to manage stress.
All leadership begins with self-leadership. By not giving your body and mind enough rest you can weaken your power to deal with stress.
Meditation and deep breathing can help you to relax, reducing your tension and stress. I do this daily. Let me know in the comments if you have meditation and breathing practice.
Hack #5: Cut down on Energy Drains
Making a schedule with distractions such as phones, computers and TV is important in managing happiness and stress.
With our virtual presence being so important these days, having boundaries around the times when you use these distractions is key so that you use technology and not the other way around!
I took time away from my phone over the weekend and don’t look at it until I have done my morning routine including meditation.
This also helps you to remain focused on your goals.
Do you have systems in place to manage distractions and stay focused?
BONUS HACK: Regular exercise
Last but not least and an obvious option of my ways to be happier is regular exercise.
This is my favorite mood booster to help decrease the production of stress hormones, such as cortisol!
The bottom line is that health is your wealth. Maintaining your physical health and nutrition is key to the high energy levels required to lead.
