You are a busy leader, and you often prioritize your career and business above your own health.
You work long hours, skip meals, and sacrifice sleep in the pursuit of success.
But what is the point of achieving success if you aren’t able to fully enjoy it?
It’s important to recognize that longevity and success go hand in hand.
Good health is the foundation upon which you build your career and personal life.
Without it, you may be able to achieve short-term goals, but you will struggle to sustain long-term success and fulfillment.
Consider this scenario…
You are the CEO of a successful company, but you are also constantly exhausted and dealing with health issues.
You may have achieved professional success, but at what cost?
Your long hours and high stress levels have taken a toll on your physical and mental well-being, leaving you burnt out and unable to fully enjoy your achievements.
Now, imagine a different scenario…
You are the CEO of a successful company, but you have also prioritized your health.
You make time for regular exercise, eat a well-balanced diet, and practice stress management techniques.
As a result, you have the energy and mental clarity to tackle your to-do list and make important decisions.
You are able to fully enjoy your successes, both personally and professionally.
Which scenario would you rather experience?
While it may be tempting to prioritize your career or business above all else, it is essential to remember that your health is the foundation upon which everything else is built.
Without it, you may be able to achieve short-term successes, but you will struggle to sustain long-term fulfillment.
So, how can you prioritize your health while still managing a busy schedule?
Here are a few tips:
Schedule time for regular exercise, even if it’s just a short walk or workout during your lunch break.
Make healthy food choices, such as packing a nutritious lunch or snacking on fruits and vegetables.
Get enough sleep to allow your body and mind to rest and recharge.
Take breaks throughout the day to stretch and relax, and try to reduce stress through techniques such as meditation or deep breathing.
Avoid unhealthy habits like smoking and excessive alcohol consumption.
By following these easy tips, you’ll be well on your way to a healthier and longer life, full of success and fulfillment.
Don’t let your hectic schedule hold you back from prioritizing your health—make it a priority and watch as your personal and professional life flourish.
Remember, a healthy body leads to a healthy mind, and a healthy mind leads to a successful life.

As we turn the calendar to start a new year, many of us make resolutions.
We want to improve ourselves in some way—whether it’s health and fitness, growing our business, achieving another milestone in your career, or any other goals.
Unfortunately, many of us fail to stick to these goals due to a lack of commitment, focus, or dedication.
And when it comes to health and fitness specifically, busy executives such as yourself are especially prone to putting their own wellbeing on the back burner.
I understand that it can be difficult for you given all of your responsibilities—but when neglecting your health and wellness becomes habitual, that leads to serious long-term consequences that you don’t want to experience.
A great life isn’t just about working hard—it’s about feeling strong and energized enough to truly enjoy those successes!
When you’re healthy and fit, you’ll have the energy and stamina necessary for tackling even bigger projects with greater success.
So this New Year’s resolution season, I’m here to encourage you not only to set realistic goals for yourself but also hold yourself accountable for reaching them—because improving your health is worth it!
Here are a few tips that can help you stay committed:
1. Break down your goal into smaller parts
Setting one large goal can seem insurmountable at times which can cause you give up easily. To counter this problem break down your main goal into smaller parts which will be easier for you achieve but still help move towards your main aim in time. For example instead of aiming for running 5Km in one go set a weekly target like running 500m without getting tired in first week then 1000m in second week and so on till 5Km gets achieved at the end of 8th week. This incremental approach will make things easier for you mentally as well as physically.
2. Set reminders
Once you have identified what steps need taken try setting reminders on your phone or email where ever applicable so that things don’t slip away from memory easily thus making sure nothing is missed out inadvertently keeping progress on track.
3. Track progress
Tracking progress helps keep motivation levels up high specially when going through tough times since visible proof is often required during such moments as well as providing perspective on how much has already been achieved encouraging individuals to keep pushing forward.
4. Reward yourself
Make sure reward yourself every time something is achieved related to goal no matter how small it may appear staying focused on the ultimate prize while enjoying small wins along the way keeps spirits high.
5. Have an accountability partner
Having someone who will make sure that everything is kept track off properly helps a lot specially when willpower starts wavering having an accountability partner ensures right decisions are made under pressure proving quite useful during critical periods
As an executive or business owner wanting to reach greater heights I’m sure physical wellbeing is just as important as mental acuity – if not more so!
You owe it to yourself – and those around you -to take care of your body so that life can be enjoyed wholeheartedly without fear of fatigue or burn out standing in its way.
So this New Year let us resolve together by taking simple yet effective steps towards our desired goals making 2023 a completely different year than 2022!

As an entrepreneur, I’ve had to work finding balance to live my best life in order to save me from feeling stressed and overwhelmed.
I wasn’t always holding clear boundaries with my computer and phone and they were jumping in the bed with me at night.
The good news is you can get out of your own way too and focus your mind on what you want, so that you hit your goals & live your best life RIGHT NOW in these UNPREDICTABLE times.
Living a Full Life is a life where you balance the 6 main aspects of life.
Those 6 aspects are:
Your Physical Health
Your Family and Relationship
Your finances
Your business
Your Spirituality
Your Mental Strength
The biggest problem that I see my clients face is the fact that they’re sacrificing what’s important and what matters to them for something they want.
Take health for example.
I see many of you working long hours but…
…by overworking, you’re sacrificing your physical and mental health.
In these uncertain times, peak performance requires fitness in all of these areas of life!
Living your best life is especially important when your plate is full!
Living your best life means leveling up to be the best version of yourself so that you can be happy and living up to your full potential.
It means being intentional about the way you choose to live and living your life in a way that lines up with your values and goals.
Getting there requires that you master both the internal and external factors that could prevent you from living your best life.
You have to FIND a way to balance different aspects of your life.
For me, I have finally developed a framework which has helped me put my life together in a way that is more fun, and I’d love to share that framework so that you can live life to the fullest WITHOUT sacrificing because sacrifice sucks!
Here are 10 questions I ask myself to live my best life.
I challenge you to do the same and let me know what you would add!
Did I follow a mindful morning routine and focus on the feeling state of what ever I am grateful for and working on achieving in advance?
Did I workout for at least 20 minutes ?
Did I not drink or drink in moderation?
Did I eat healthy?
Did I fast?
Did I get up early?
Did I drink half body weight in water?
Did I take cold showers?
Did I get 7-9 hours of sleep?
Did I give away my power to things outside of my control?
Here’s why that’s important.
On the average, you have 60k thoughts a day and most of these thoughts are negative and repetitive from the day before.
Your mindset is the biggest key to getting out of your own way to live your best life! When you recondition your mind to think differently you rewire your brain.
Changing your brain changes your business along with every area of your life.
All you have to do is DECIDE what you want.
To override my DNA/reptilian brain & knowing I wake up and feel anxious I practice mindfulness and a strict meditation and gratitude practice. What works for you?
Are you ready to crush the last half of this year?
Commit right now to making the time to put your personal life and health at the top of your list not just your business.
Imagine if for the next 30 days you just focus on living your best life, what your business and life would look like?
My clients are always profoundly moved when they start seeing outer changes because they are focusing more on the inner changes.
Don’t believe me?
Do the work.
Commit yourself to have a breakthrough and you’ll get it!

With the market fluctuations. Inflation. Soaring prices…
It’s easy to feel shaken up by the uncertainty all around you and feel a bit out of balance.
But you can choose to respond rather than react…
…You can choose to become UNSHAKEABLE, unbreakable and unstoppable and commit right now to making the last half of this year the time to put your personal life and health at the top of your list, not just your business.
Change your LIFE with some of my favorite SIMPLE HABITS.
Habit #𝟏 — Cold Showers
This is a great way to train your self-discipline, reduce muscle soreness and help with your skin and weight loss.
I do cryotherapy.
Here’s how to do the cold showers:
Turn the nob to cold and stand in the stream for intervals of 30-60 seconds.
Habit #2 — Intermittent Fasting
This is one of my favorite habits for anti-aging, self-discipline, and permanently releasing weight.
It takes a little while to adjust to this lifestyle, but it’s so worth it!
You already have discipline as a successful person you just need to apply it.
Ask any anti-aging or bio hacking expert like Dave Asprey or David Sinclair. They love fasting as well, I love it for the great results I get for me and my clients.
Fasting and cold showers are two hard things that can make you more grateful for all the things you have access to in the comfortable world we are privileged to live in!
Gratitude makes you happier. The secret to happiness is to have less wants and more gratitude for what you have.
Here’s exactly how to do Intermittent fasting:
Stop eating at 6 or 8 at night, and break your fast at 10 or 12 in the morning (16-hour fast).
Habit #3 — Visualization
This strategy actually tricks your brain to thinking you have what you want already, and influences you to make decisions that will lead to accomplishing that big goal or vision you’re holding in your mind?
I hope that 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘴 𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘦?
If not, that’s OK. The thing is….
It doesn’t have to make sense, just close your eyes, see/smell/feel what you want to have as you already have it.
And let the universe or whatever higher power you believe in, and your actions do the rest. ;)
All successful athletes and visionary leaders use this strategy of visualization
Here are some visualization prompts to get you started:
90 days from now what is it you’d like to achieve?
How does it feel?
How proud are you?
Are you more confident now that you’ve achieved this?
Habit #4 — Meditate
If you want to be more joyful in these turbulent times, you can train yourself to be happier by taking positive actions, and a great start would be to start meditating.
Start with 3 minutes. Close your eyes, sit down relaxed, and focus on your breath (6 sec in, 6 sec out).
I include visualization in my meditation.
The science proves meditation and gratitude positively impacts your physical and mental health. Meditation and focusing daily on what you’re grateful for in advance is a good happiness hack!
Habit #5 — Evening Routine
Sleep is so important. I know this because I’ve neglected sleeping before and the struggle is real..
Implementing an evening routine changed sleep for me and my clients. Just do a few things before sleeping that make you relax, like meditation with the lights off.
Your lifestyle will improve when you improve your quality of sleep!
Here are a pre-sleep routine tips:
No electronics 1 hr before bed.
No food 3 hours before bed.
Reduce noise and light exposure.
Set bedroom temperature low.
During the day, spend time outdoors for light exposure.
Also plan your top goals for tomorrow the night before.
Lay out the things that you’ll need to hit those goals by making them obvious!
For example lay out your workout clothes if your goals include exercise in your morning routine.
Habit #6 — Morning Routine
This Is the big A-lister habit.
Without my morning routine, I would still be falling prey to my ADD and be unfocused wasting my time…
Find 2 to 6 habits to implement in your morning routine that set you up for a successful day, whatever that means to you!
Here’s a PRO TIP:
Do something hard in your morning routine so that the rest of the day comes easy because you’ve already done a hard task. (The eat that frog principle, book by Brian Tracy)
And, always choose things & habits that align with your values and goals. So think about, future planning in your morning and evening routine, meditation and visualization, reading, breath-work, and a cold shower to finish it off!
These strategies have helped my clients and they can help you too like Henry, a successful CEO. He was an athlete in his 20s, and had the discipline – and the muscles –
Then his focus and drive shifted: he became a successful executive and like many super successful people do which is to focus on business.
One day he woke up, looked at himself in the mirror, and didn’t recognize the man he saw staring back at him.
He had gained weight. His energy and vitality were in the tank.
The journey to build his company took everything out of him: 16-hour days, 7 days a week. And taking care of himself was not on the schedule.
This story might sound familiar. Lots of you driven people—can find yourself feeling stuck in tunnel vision these days!
Success in one area of life can come at the expense of happiness, success, and fulfillment in other areas.
But it doesn’t have to be that way!
And Henry found the answer for creating balance and experiencing a life beyond anything he previously dreamed of…
by working with me.
Now he’s made his health a priority, aligned his actions with his values, gained more energy than he had even back in his days of being an athlete—and now he’s unstoppable. Physically, mentally and emotionally.
You can experience the same life-changing shift that Henry did by reaching out to me.
Gain the systems to take control of your health and energy so you can unlock your healthiest self at any age or stage of life.
Today we discussed 𝟼 𝘰𝘧 𝘮𝘺 𝘩𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘵𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘱𝘦𝘥 𝘮𝘦 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦 𝘮𝘺 life and my clients lifestyle 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 better let me know what you would add. If you want to create a better lifestyle… today is the day to start!
Thanks for coming don’t forget to comment and share!

The holidays can disrupt your eating patterns and trigger emotional eating.
Study after study proves that the average person gains weight during the holidays, but it doesn’t have to be that way!
I made this vlog so you can learn my hacks to stay healthy, happy, and hot for the holidays and that you don’t add the Holiday-10 to the Quarantine-15!
In fact, you don’t have to gain weight this holiday season at all!
I know, I know… The holidays are a wonderful time for family, friends and celebrations, but poor health can ruin your holidays. Winter can take a toll on your physical and mental health too, but it doesn’t have to.
Here are a few hacks you could do to avoid gaining extra pounds this coming holiday season:
Hack #1 — Drink water and tea
Winter is a great time for some delicious hot tea my favorite is good earth sweet & spicy, always make sure that you drink 1/2 of your body weight in ounces of water especially in the winter when the heat is so dehydrating. A glass of water with and between each meal can keep you hydrated, and healthy to help fight germs!
Let me know if you’re drinking enough water or if you can do better?
Hack #2 — Sleep more to stress less
Don’t neglect the value of sleep, Do all that you can to stick to a normal sleep schedule even around all the celebrations and traveling.
Hack #3 — When it comes to alcohol Moderation is king
Try to limit your alcohol consumption to one or two drinks. Drinks are empty calories that slow down your metabolism and raise your estrogen levels which isn’t good for you men or women, it also can interfere with a good night’s rest and ages you faster.
Hack #4 — Work out
The best time to exercise is whenever you have time especially if you’re busy! To stay healthy happy & hot… find time to add movement to your day. The cold air can discourage you from keeping up with your fitness routines. It’s easy to let these habits slide for the season, but remember that regular activity can keep you healthy, both mentally and physically if it’s too cold out find #fitspiration online for indoor exercise to get you moving at home.
Hack#5 — To stay healthy & hot and age better… follow an anti-inflammatory diet
For example eating wheat can spread up the aging process so if you want to look younger eat an anti inflammatory diet. Gluten sugar and trans fat cause inflammation. To stay hot remove pasta, bagels, muffins and only eat gluten-free options in your diet so that you can look 10 years younger.
A diet high in sugar also ages you so just pass on the cookies or eat them in moderation, they often have other inflammatory foods besides sugar like trans fats & vegetable oils in them which all promote cellular damage which ages you.
Following these tips can ensure that you have a safe, happy, and healthy holiday season.
I’m LisaG reminding you that there is no wealth without health!

“The struggle is real,” states Lisa Goldenthal, “insomnia affects tens of millions of Americans each year to varying degrees.”
LOS ANGELES, CA, UNITED STATES, November 15, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — Taking more steps during the day may be related to better sleep at night, according to an encouraging new study of lifestyle and sleep patterns. The study, which delved into the links between walking and snoozing, suggests that being active can influence how well we sleep, whether we actually exercise or not. Now, Lisa Goldenthal, a Weight Loss Expert, and recent winner of the Best of Los Angeles Award for “Best Diet Book – 2019”, shares her thoughts on this interesting phenomenon.
“The struggle is real,” states Lisa Goldenthal, “insomnia affects tens of millions of Americans each year to varying degrees. Studies show that walking as little as three miles a day can promote better sleep. It is best to avoid being active too close to bedtime, however. Exercise reduces stress, and is good for physical well-being, both of which are good for sleep, but it also increases your body’s core temperature, making it tough to drift off.”
A woman of many talents, Lisa Goldenthal is the owner and founder of Lisa G Fitness, which is known as the results-driven wellness retreat, corporate wellness leader, weight loss expert, and fitness expert of choice for people wishing to live a healthier and happier life.
Scientists have long been intrigued and befuddled by the ties between physical activity and somnolence. To most of us, it might seem as if that relationship should be uncomplicated, advantageous and one-way. You work out, grow tired and sleep better that night.
However, the time of day a work-out occurs is equally important. “A recent study found that 7 a.m. workouts improve sleep quality more than late-day exercise,” continues Lisa Goldenthal, “additionally, spending time outside every day might be helpful. Being exposed to natural light by walking outside in the morning helps you develop a strong circadian rhythm, which promotes healthy sleep.”
No matter what, it’s clear that those struggling with recent insomnia symptoms should attempt an exercise routine to see if there any benefits. “The added social benefits of walking with another person could offer an additional boost for your mood, thereby improving sleep,” concludes Lisa Goldenthal, “all the studies show that if you move more you sleep better.”
——-
Utilizing a truly holistic approach to good health, Lisa Goldenthal has now produced real results in her business for more than 20 years. She strongly encourages lowering stress levels to improve overall health, and she relies on nutritional education plus personal training knowledge to help her clients achieve and maintain optimal health. She graduated from UCLA’s renowned Personal Training Program and her proudest accomplishment is her popular fitness DVD entitled “Skinny Jeans Workout.”
Her book, “The Boss Weight Loss: Permanent Weight Loss in Six Easy Steps,” is for those who are tired of starting out each summer trying a new diet trend, only to lose the weight and gain it right back again. The book starts with an education about nutrition, exercise and physical and spiritual health, and ultimately leads to a lifestyle that echoes all these principles.
As a bonus this book also comes with downloadable links to workouts, a cookbook, worksheets and a weight loss meditation.
I want to help end the trend of obesity so people can thrive and not suffer preventable disease like diabetes and heart disease and many cancers and autoimmune diseases.
I had the pleasure of interviewing Lisa Goldenthal, transformational weight loss and fitness coach. Clients come to Lisa with an immediate goal of losing weight, and in the process they end up gaining unstoppable confidence.
Thank you so much for doing this with us! What is your “backstory”?
I am a certified life coach, lifestyle and weight management coach. My passion for my business comes from a very personal perspective on health — I know first-hand how your body will look and feel when you have an unhealthy relationship with food, and how tough it is to change bad habits by yourself!
I used to weigh 15 pounds more than I weigh now, and while that might not seem like a lot, I hated the way I looked. I used to tell myself because I worked out, I could eat anything I wanted, but the truth is, I wasn’t eating sensibly, nor was I eating a healthy diet.
I developed an unhealthy pattern of dieting every single time I knew I was going to be photographed or be seen on the beach. It was frustrating and exhausting to be on the diet yo-yo, and made me feel like a failure and a fraud. Here I was, helping others with diet and exercise, but I had to work twice as hard to stay fit because my habits were sabotaging my hard work. How could I keep teaching clients about wellness when I myself wasn’t practicing healthy habits?
Fast forward, and I discovered my 6-Step weight loss system that combined science, emotion, and intelligent strategy. With myself as the first success story, I knew I could help other people too.
Can you share the funniest or most interesting story that happened to you since you started your company
I thought it would take one year to start my online business — was I ever wrong! It takes years, sacrifice, a mindset shift and many set- backs and sleepless nights to push forward. That is the part the people on the webinars never mention.
What do you think makes your company stand out?
I am in my fifties and am taking a stand that you can look like me at any age, I believe that with the proper diet and exercise you can survive and thrive and rock out your skinny jeans at any age.
Can you share a story?
I created a DVD that was sold in Target and featured as one of the top 10 in- home workout DVD’s by life and Style magazine. It features shorter workouts for busy people to take away the excuse factor.
None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are?
I am grateful for all the mistakes I made along the way for making me the person I am today. I am grateful for my friends, family and clients that have helped me hang in there through the entrepreneurial journey. I am especially grateful to have had the coaches along the way that have inspired me Shanda Sumpter, Amy Yamada, Mike Koenigs, Matt Leitz my Bot Builder, my virtual assistants, copywriters and best friend Jaki who have helped inspire me to push through.
Are you working on any exciting projects now?
I am super excited to be writing a book about my six step system to permanent weight loss and it will be released by January 2019. I am also doing destination, team building and weight loss retreats. I am having fun creating a facebook robot to talk to people on messenger
How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?
I try to inspire people daily with my free content across all my social media networks. I do FaceBook Lives weekly on my Meal Prep Monday Show, inspiring everyone that healthy eating can be fun and delicious and I have helped people lose 60 to 100 pounds which is incredibly inspiring and gratifying all around I feel I did help save their life and certainly give them their life back. I want to help end the trend of obesity so people can thrive and not suffer preventable disease like diabetes and heart disease and many cancers and autoimmune diseases.
Do you have a favorite book that made a deep impact on your life? Can you share a story?
Tony Robbins Personal Power is my favorite book of all time. I have literally been driving around listening to his book for the last ten years. If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always gotten.” — Tony Robbins
What are your “5 things I wish someone told me before I started my company” and why. Please share a story or example for each.
I wish people told me I needed patience. I was told to build my email list I just needed to interview 20 influencers and do a webinar to get sales. There was a lot of struggle along that path especially my early webinars the technology really stressed me out.
I wish someone could tell you to never quit on yourself right after the biggest struggles come the sweetest victories. I’ll never forget the time I was coming back from a trip to Cabo without unplugged, and as soon as we landed my PayPal was blowing up with sales for my Skinny Jeans Workout.
I wish I had the patience to realize all good things take time to build. Hang in there is what I would encourage all start- ups like me that are self funded. The struggle is real but makes you come out stronger on the other side!
I wish someone told me that you have to spend as much money on marketing as you do on the project itself like my Skinny Jeans Workout for example.
I wish someone told me about the personal growth that is the most important part of starting a new business, that mindset is EVERYTHING.
Finally.. Don’t try to be a lone wolf out there- get coaching, it’s worth the investment and helps keep you accountable.
Some of the biggest names in Business, VC funding, Sports, and Entertainment read this column. Is there a person in the world, or in the US whom you would love to have a private breakfast or lunch with, and why? He or she might see this. 🙂
I would love to sit down for five minutes and interview Tony Robbins, Oprah and Gary Vee they are the people that I listen to when I hit a bump in the road and have to keep on pushing through.
This was very inspiring. Thank you so much for joining us!

1. What was your journey to success as a weight loss and fitness coach? 1. What was your journey to success as a weight loss and fitness coach?
My personal journey is similar to other successful women: I had to hit bottom with my weight and health, and only then, did I experience a real commitment to changing my life! There’s a saying, you need to experience a BREAKDOWN BEFORE YOU CREATE A BREAKTHROUGH!
My home life was very difficult, and at school I faced even more social challenges. I ended up finding comfort in food and used to weigh twenty pounds more than I do now. I know that might not sound like a lot to some of you, but the pain and shame were real for me.
I hated the way I looked. I had to diet every time I knew I was going to be photographed or seen on the beach. It was frustrating and exhausting, I felt like a failure and a fraud. I was sabotaging my own hard work in the gym by overeating.
Once I finally realized my early traumas made me turn to food for comfort, I sought professional help, created new habits, and thus, retrained my brain to think positively, think thin, and the result manifested in my new healthy body, mind and spirit. Now it’s my turn to help others transform their lives.
So now I ask my clients, have you bottomed out? Ready to break through and soar!! For this reason, having a life coaching certification is essential to my practice, because there is a huge emotional-eating component to weight loss that must be uncovered before permanent weight loss is possible.
2. Lisa, what would be your top 3 tips to lose weight?
Wake up and drink a warm or hot glass of water with lemon. It starts your day right!
I love drinking a glass of warm water with lemon first thing in the morning. I love this way to get my body going. It is centuries-old wisdom. The benefits of drinking hot water with lemon when you first wake up are endless. Warm water with lemon first thing in the morning on an empty stomach helps lubricate all your internal systems. Lemon is also a great source of vitamin C, and a plethora of other nutrients. This routine is a great way of flushing out toxins in the morning because it balances and maintains the pH levels in the body, reduces pain and inflammation in joints, and helps nourish the brain and nerve cells.
2. Portion control is an easy way to begin (as long as you get enough protein). Most people have lost and regained weight many times. Why? They go on a very strict food regime that’s so different from their regular life style that they wind up “cheating” and feeling badly that they cheated, and so they eat even more. In fact, it’s been proven that 95% of dieters report they’ve gained the weight back and more. It’s behavioral change that sets you up for weight loss success. Many people, especially over 40 or 50 are more successful by just reducing their PORTIONS rather than eliminating all the foods they enjoy. After this, I customize a plan for every client. One last tip that my clients have found makes a big difference: track your food, calories, and activity. Why? It keeps you accountable to yourself and, for my clients, this data is extremely helpful to me as their weight loss coach, data is important! There’s a free app I recommend to my clients. It’s called myfitnesspal.com and so easy to use. Clients who use it say it’s become a habit.
3. Take yourself off the hook! Every time you begin to criticize yourself for not doing enough, not doing more, not doing better, replace the thought with an encouraging one. This may sound totally contradictory to my first two tips which are all about taking action and changing your behavior. But the idea of taking yourself off the hook — by that I mean, applaud and be very proud of taking baby steps towards your goal. After all, Rome wasn’t built in a day! When you’re running a marathon, you take the little strides every day. When you start to see positive changes, it will give you the juice to keep going. It may be a number on a scale, or it may be just a feeling of more energy. Possibly, you see you are a little leaner, your clothes are feeling a little less snug, and your craving for fatty, greasy food is going away.
So, for example, I tell my new clients to increase your movement every day, just start moving, even it’s walking your dog. Then I customize a more rigorous exercise plan for each client.
