6 Skills to Becoming the Best Version of Yourself

 

Being a great leader requires many traits, including being organized, having great communication skills, and tons of energy.

There is a link between wellness and leadership!

Self-leadership is all about leading yourself to become the master of your life.

You need self-leadership in these times of uncertainty because great leadership requires self-development, self-awareness and lots of energy.

Maintaining your physical health and nutrition is step one for the high energy levels required to lead.
This will help you to tackle difficult situations with strength, grit and stamina.

Let’s jump in with my six skills to becoming the best version of yourself!

 

 

 

Skill #1 — Self-discipline

Discipline in fitness and life isn’t tied to what you feel like doing.

I went for a workout yesterday even though I didn’t feel like it.

I did it because I made a commitment.

Keeping your word to yourself to do the things you said you would do, even when you don’t feel like it matters in all areas of your life, not just business!

You need to pay attention to your nutrition in order to achieve peak performance.

 

Skill #2 — Good habits

This skill is backed by science and practiced by millionaires and billionaires like Oprah and Jack Dorsey.

Fit leadership starts with locking in your morning with good habits. This actually starts the night before by getting to bed early enough and not hitting the wine too hard!

Goal stacking in the morning with positive habits helps build momentum for a productive day.

Four of my millionaire morning suggestions are drinking water and exercising to stay energized.

Setting time to clear your head with meditation. Practice 7-7-7 breathing — inhale for seven, hold for 7, and exhale for 7.

Before you jump into your phone or workday, do this to start your day off on the right high-energy note and to boost your mood.

Planing your morning and your meals sets you up to be successful for the rest of the day especially with the fast pace that’s required of you as a leader!

Good habit stacking is essential for leading a healthy lifestyle and self-leadership to stay aligned with your goals.

 

Skill #3 — Self-awareness

True power Lies In Knowing Yourself

This helps you lead in these uncertain times.

Knowing your values, beliefs, and having good habits influence your decision-making abilities!

 

Skill #4 — Self-confidence

As a leader, having a strong belief in your abilities and strengths is important. And by being fit, it increases your confidence level.

 

Skill #5 — Have SMART Goals

Goals that are specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time-bound.

Having smart goals gives you a vision and targets that you can put on a timeline.

Tracking your performance and achievement is important to give you a sense of fulfillment and motivate you to work even harder at your goals.

Setting smart goals can help you monitor your fitness progress, which is essential when you are trying to develop new healthy habits or simply trying to achieve any goal.

 

Skill #6 — Be prepared for self-sabotage

Self-sabotaging plays a role in resisting growth and failed resolutions.

I know I’ve been there but I keep going!

You must also be prepared for the challenges that come up.

Having a solid plan and following the plan helps you cope with resistance to stay on track to reach your goals because New Year’s resolutions don’t last, but sticking to a plan does!

Self-mastery,  includes not being too hard on yourself when you slip up, rewarding yourself for your accomplishments, and accepting that failure is part of the plan—forgive yourself and keep going when you fail so that you feel motivated to do better.

“If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.”

Why Diets Don’t Work and What Does

 

 

If you want to lose weight, you’re not alone.

About  2 out of every 5 people are trying to shed pounds. If you’re a chronic dieter it’s likely that you’ve used food to feel better and have lost and gained the same weight over and over again but the good news is it doesn’t have to be that way!

I know this because I’ve been there myself on the yo-yo diet bandwagon because my eating and drinking habits were sabotaging my hard work in the gym, but today I no longer struggle and I learned how to retrain my mind to eat like a naturally thin person and I want that for you too.

With at least half of us on a diet and the diet industry being a 78 billion dollar industry… here’s the thing diets don’t work.

95% of them will fail, 97 percent of dieters regain everything they lost and then some within three years, while slowing down your metabolism.

If you’re addicted to food it’s harder to overcome than any other addictions, because you can completely eliminate cigarettes, alcohol, and drugs from your life but you can’t eliminate food.

If you find yourself unconsciously reaching for food, when you feel stressed, angry, or sad you need to get to the root of why you are numbing out with food in order to stop yo-yo dieting, If you don’t have the right system for weight loss, you will have to work ten times harder.

Here are three steps to help you lose the weight and keep it off!

 

Step one is you need to think through exactly why you’re trying to lose weight — this will help you focus on your goal throughout your journey.

Before you get started focus on this:

Why do you want to lose weight?

Next, check your mindset. Are you prepared to have the mental toughness required to do what it takes? A bulletproof mindset is required.

After that, you need to check your limiting beliefs. If you’re telling yourself you deserve a treat ask yourself what is the payoff?

Here are just a few of the excuses I’ve heard:

It’s my genetics

I always gain weight over the holidays

I’m always going to be overweight because I love food 

If I paid for it I have to eat it

I’m a chocoholic

Everything I eat turns to fat

I’ve been fat my whole life

I’m just not built thin?

The next step is you have to check your values: can you set your mind on something and give it full focus?

In order to do this, you’ll need first get to a really compelling reason why you want to lose weight and be healthy this real driving purpose will keep you going on the days you really don’t feel like it.

 

Step two, there are studies of people that lost over thirty pounds and kept it off found that they had these things in common, they exercise daily. They weighed themselves regularly, drank water, and watched less than 10 hours of TV a week.

 

Step three is you then need to learn the weight mastery techniques to train your mind to eat like a naturally thin person so that you can enjoy food without the struggle.

Here’s how to get started:

Before you eat first ask yourself…

1. Am I hungry

2. If not? why am I eating this food

3. Am I eating because I’m hungry, sad or stressed?

4. Dig a bit deeper to identify if you’re hungry or just want to numb out from something that’s bothering you?

We need to get to the bottom of why you eat when you’re not hungry.

Ask yourself these hard questions. If you’re eating from stress and not from hunger you might be able to track this back to your childhood.

You can’t substitute food for love. If you had emotionally or physically abusive parents, you need to realize that food is not love, a celebration, or a reward. You might even be subconsciously using extra weight as armor to protect yourself.

When you learn to gain mastery over food addictions and learn to eat and think like a naturally thin person you will learn how to only eat food to nourish your body.

When you learn to train your mind to eat when you’re hungry you’ll realize that nothing tastes as good as being fit feels.

To transcend this programming you won’t be able to white knuckle this with willpower

First, you must acknowledge the truth that eating too much is how you got here and next you need to love yourself the way you are.

You also need to be on the lookout for saboteurs like food pushers

Get support and start to train your mind to hear when your old limiting beliefs come up and this will help you to achieve weight mastery.

Accountability and support will help you strengthen your commitment and resolve and make sure it’s somebody that will be truthful with you and not take any of your excuses.

And finally, be patient with yourself. You won’t be able to lose 50 pounds and master a lifetime of dieting in one week, but if you try to improve 1% a day you’ll be well on your way to eating like a weight-mastered person and end the yo-yo dieting for good.

5 Tips To Smash Your 2022 Goals

Make 2022 your best year with 5 science-based hacks to trick your brain into helping you become the person you want to be.

Let’s make this year different so that you don’t give up on your resolutions!

Here are 5 hacks to trick your brain into helping you accomplish your goals:

 


 

Hack #1 According to Inc. magazine, step one is to acknowledge that it is fantastic that you want to make a change, but first, you must also acknowledge that it will be difficult to permanently change your behavior.  There will be work involved in crushing a great goal.

Perseverance and hard work will be required.

Setbacks will be part of the process, every successful person has failed more than once; that’s one reason they’re successful today. I know I have let me know if you agree, For example, Elon Musk has failed, many times — and has overcome big setbacks.

It’s important to understand that challenges, roadblocks, and setbacks will be part of the process.

The magic formula to actually achieving big goals is having an expert guide you along the bumpy road. The science proves that when you start by expecting, to fail sometimes it will be easier for you to keep going when times actually do get tough that’s part of the process!

Hack #2 Step two according to psychology today is to turn the goal into a habit by linking it to other habits you already do automatically.

Let’s start with assuming that you brush your teeth every night before bed, but your goal is you want to start using a water pick or start a bedtime yoga or meditation practice.  In this example, brushing your teeth is the habit, and using your water pick or bedtime yoga and meditation is the goal.

A recent study found that habits and goals are stored differently in the brain. There is a region responsible for converting goals into habits.

The best way to get your goal to become a habit is by being consistent. Work toward your goal every day, even if you don’t feel like it. You need to set aside a specific time each day, or a specific context. For example, you can do your bedtime yoga stretches, meditation or water every day at  9 p.m, or immediately after brushing your teeth. The more consistent the behavior, the more easily your brain can convert it into a habit.

 

Hack #3 You need to change your environment.

Sometimes a fresh environment is all you need to kick your brain into gear.  Scientists discovered that a new location makes you more likely to change your habits.

Environmental cues are essential when it comes to forming habits. For example, if you like to snack while watching a movie it can be hard to resist the popcorn even if you’re not hungry.

Instead of giving up on your goals, take a look at your surroundings:  Try sitting in a different chair or location next time you watch TV.

 

Hack #4 Use dopamine to your advantage.

Dopamine acts as a motivator, creating a sensation of pleasure when your brain is stimulated by achievement, when you get something you want—like a promotion or a kiss your brain releases dopamine. This chemical is often known as the “feel-good” neurotransmitter.

You can manipulate your dopamine levels by setting small goals and then accomplishing them. For example, your brain may receive a spike in dopamine if you promise yourself that you’ll clean out your desk, and then you do it.  Dopamine is also involved in maintaining attention

and plays a key role in keeping you focused on your goals and motivating you to attain them,  You feel good when you work towards and achieve your small and big goals. The satisfaction of completing a small task is linked with a flood of dopamine. Each time your brain feels this rewarding neurotransmitter, it will want you to repeat the associated behavior.

The next time you want to accomplish a big goal, try to break it down into smaller, dopamine-friendly chunks. If you want to work out every day, check off each day that workout on your calendar.

 

Hack #5 Studies found that another good way to accomplish your goal is to avoid telling other people about them, because letting other people know what you’re up to can give you a premature sense of accomplishing it.

Instead find a way to gamify it, or turn your goals into a competition. Bet on your success this year, setting goals pushes you to invest in them as if you’d already accomplished it. this sets up conditions that drive you to work towards your goal.

This is a great way to fight off the excuses like I’m too busy, I don’t want to spend the money or it isn’t the right time.

 

When it comes to accomplishing your goals, don’t listen to excuses telling you there’s always something standing in your way, such as money, work, or finding the time. With these Hacks and proper support and accountability, it is possible to push through and feel the dopamine buzz.

Stay consistent, change your environment. You can change your behavior this year. The hardest rep in the gym is always opening the door so just start now. Stephen King  said: “Amateurs sit and wait for inspiration—the rest of us just get up and go to work.”

Top 5 Secrets To Lose The Holiday Weight

According to the studies, two-thirds of the weight you gain annually is during the holidays. In other words, the way that you gain isn’t spread out throughout the year, but rather it’s during the holidays when you tend to gain the most weight.

How was your Thanksgiving?

Are you fully recovered from your turkey coma?

The good news is that you are here and holiday weight gain doesn’t have to be your story!

Let’s jump in with the big reveal of the top 5 secrets to losing holiday weight.

 

 

Tip #1 Don’t wait around for that holiday weight to become permanent.

Get started now your body hasn’t gotten used to that extra weight yet, what’s one step you can take today? Let me know in the comments, if you lose it now it’s easier than waiting for New Year or when you feel ready because you’re never going to feel ready, some of the weight you gained might be water and bloating so it’s best to get after it right away. Don’t wait for New Year to google how to do a cleanse.

 

Tip #2 Increase Hydration

If you drink a lot of water, you won’t feel as hungry. Also, water is very important for your metabolism, which is important for weight loss.” A study found that drinking just  17 ounces of water increases your metabolic rate by 30%. After the holidays, you’re so ready to be drastic, but instead of trying to drop ten pounds in a week take small steps, it’ll lead to consistency and being able to hit your goals.

Successful people like you know to play for the marathon, not the sprint. Of the weight gain that we put on throughout the holiday season—some of it is bloat because it takes a lot of calories to put on fat. So, if you stay hydrated, you can easily flush some of the extra sodium and bloat from your body, start with  Increasing your water intake to flush out the extra bloat and calories.

 

Tip #3 You can’t just resume your regular eating routine and assume you’ll be fine

Because you never worked off the excess, so now is the time to eat fewer calories not your usual amount of food and alcohol!

It’s not business as usual!

 

Tip #4 Hit it hard and fast

Fasting is the best way to burn up the extra stuff you’ve been eating over the holidays. Periods of not eating are the fastest way to burn stored fat & lose holiday weight try intermittent fasting &  during your fast you can burn off some of those extra calories that you consumed during the holidays. When you don’t eat for 16 hours or more at least 8 hours of that you should be sleeping, by the next day you’ll start to bounce back just start the day with black coffee and water before 12 noon.

 

Tip #5 Don’t Forget Strength Training

Many of you neglect resistance exercise. Weight training is crucial to prevent muscle and bone loss that occurs with age. More muscle mass also elevates your metabolism helping you lose weight, maintain joint flexibility, and improve endurance.

Discover The 5 Hacks To Stay Healthy, Happy And Hot For The Holidays

The holidays can disrupt your eating patterns and trigger emotional eating.

Study after study proves that the average person gains weight during the holidays, but it doesn’t have to be that way!

I made this vlog so you can learn my hacks to stay healthy, happy, and hot for the holidays and that you don’t add the Holiday-10 to the Quarantine-15!

In fact, you don’t have to gain weight this holiday season at all!

I know, I know… The holidays are a wonderful time for family, friends and celebrations, but poor health can ruin your holidays. Winter can take a toll on your physical and mental health too, but it doesn’t have to.

Here are a few hacks you could do to avoid gaining extra pounds this coming holiday season:

 

 

Hack #1 — Drink water and tea

Winter is a great time for some delicious hot tea my favorite is good earth sweet & spicy, always make sure that you drink 1/2 of your body weight in ounces of water especially in the winter when the heat is so dehydrating.  A glass of water with and between each meal can keep you hydrated, and healthy to help fight germs!

Hack #2 — Sleep more to stress less

Don’t neglect the value of sleep,  Do all that you can to stick to a normal sleep schedule even around all the celebrations and traveling.

 

Hack #3 — When it comes to alcohol Moderation is king

Try to limit your alcohol consumption to one or two drinks. Drinks are empty calories that slow down your metabolism and raise your estrogen levels which isn’t good for you men or women, it also can interfere with a good night’s rest and ages you faster.

 

Hack #4 — Work out

The best time to exercise is whenever you have time especially if you’re busy! To stay healthy happy & hot… find time to add movement to your day. The cold air can discourage you from keeping up with your fitness routines. It’s easy to let these habits slide for the season, but remember that regular activity can keep you healthy, both mentally and physically if it’s too cold out find #fitspiration online for indoor exercise to get you moving at home.

Hack#5 — To stay healthy & hot and age better… follow an anti-inflammatory diet

For example eating wheat can spread up the aging process so if you want to look younger eat an anti  inflammatory diet. Gluten sugar and trans fat cause inflammation. To stay hot remove pasta, bagels, muffins and only eat gluten-free options in your diet so that you can look 10 years younger.

A diet high in sugar also ages you so just pass on the cookies or eat them in moderation, they often have other inflammatory foods besides sugar like trans fats & vegetable oils in them which all promote cellular damage which ages you.

 

Following these tips can ensure that you have a safe, happy, and healthy holiday season.

Discover The 3 Tips to Fat Loss

According to science, unlike the good proteins that you eat, this fat-storing protein attaches to your fat cells and blocks your body’s ability to release fat & burn it for energy.

Unfortunately, the more overweight you are, the more likely it is that you’ll be carrying higher levels of this protein called sLR11. This may be hindering your fat burning and can even make you GAIN weight.

Today’s topic is 3 science-backed hacks to help you release this fat-storing protein from your body.

These tips can help fire up your metabolism and tell your body to release fat and burn it for energy… instead of storing it.

 

 

Tip #1 — Taking an icy cold bath

I have been doing cryotherapy lately at the cryo zone in Santa Monica. And in three minutes you will feel more energized and burn fat while turning back the hands of time!

Or if that’s not your thing, take cold showers. Try 20 seconds on and off till you build up your cold shower time!

Tip #2 — Intermittent fasting for at least 16 hours

Intermittent Fasting (IF) stimulates fat loss and stem cell growth. I helped my client Isaac lose 26 pounds of fat in just 6 weeks with my VIP Boss Body Fat Loss System that includes Intermittent Fasting done properly.

 

Tip #3 — Follow Superfoods strategies that will help you decrease belly fat

The first superfood is Cinnamon. I put this in my coffee daily, you can add cinnamon daily to your shakes, oatmeal, healthy baking and yogurt. Cinnamon decreases glucose levels in the blood, so you can burn fat better.

The second superfood is Fish. Especially salmon, with its high level of omega-3 fatty acids to help activate fat burning. Try eating fish at least a few times a week. Protein builds muscle. More muscle = more fat burning. And fish is one of the healthiest sources of lean protein!

The third and fourth superfoods are meat & cruciferous veggies like broccoli. Meat contains Carnitine, which transports fat to muscle cells converting it into energy. You should eat lean meats a few times weekly. Lean proteins and cruciferous vegetables are more thermogenic than other types of foods meaning your body burns more calories just by digesting them.

The fifth superfood strategy is to Bring the Heat! Eating spicy foods influences your body heat, & the antioxidants in spices push toxins out of your system firing up your metabolism. Scientists present a solid case for how bringing the heat can help you beat the bulge. Who else likes spicy food?

The sixth superfood strategy is drinking more water. One of the most under-appreciated magic fat-burning elixirs is water. All these nutrition tips won’t make a difference if you don’t drink a lot of water. I recommended you drink a minimum of 1/2 of your body weight in ounces of water a day. I have my clients do this before their first meal of the day to stay fully hydrated and energized. This will help you lose weight and decrease the excess body fat.

Learn How To Feel Unbreakable

Imagine knowing that no matter what happens you cannot fail & you’ll bounce back. Get knocked down 7-times and get back up 8. That’s true grit and resilience. This can give you the confidence to know you’ll survive, become unbreakable and bullet-proof.

 

Resilience is the ability to adapt well in the face of adversity, and we’ve all been through so much adversity lately. I found that a resilient mindset helps you to recover and get back on your feet faster

Tip #1 — Don’t be a lone wolf

Cultivating a network of family, colleagues coaches and friends is mission-critical.  Start cultivating your relationships today, so when you need support, you have a whole network of people to help. I’m grateful to all of you & my network of family friends and colleagues that have supported me along this entrepreneurial journey.

 

Tip #2 — Accept that change is a part of life

2020 was a great example of change being inevitable. Becoming gritty and resilient will help you to know that you’ll survive and thrive. we’ve all had to pivot  You’re not alone.

 

Tip #3 — Stay solution-focused

Move toward your goals. focus on your vision of a better future and a solution to whatever problems you’re facing. What goals do you have that you can start moving toward?

Take decisive action. do something (however small) about whatever you are going through right now.

Sometimes you win and sometimes you learn.

Pain can be an opportunity to re-evaluate your life — I know I have, look at where you’ve been and where you want to go.

 

Tip #4 — Put your self-care first

This allows you to be there for your friends, family and business.

I know for me sleep is a game-changer in my mood and feeling unbreakable. Eat well. Try to make one change today in your self-care. Exercising and doing things you enjoy is also mission-critical.

What brings you joy? For me, it’s always exercise, travel and getting out in nature. Part of self-care is to be careful how you talk to yourself.

Focus on your strengths and stamina and grit to get you through tough times without beating yourself up. This will give you a more positive and optimistic view.

 


 

If you pay attention to the patterns in your life you’ll realize everything always works out and takes you to a greater destination. You always grow and learn. Being unbreakable means you give yourself the freedom to break, knowing you have the resilience and grit to put yourself back together again.

5 Hacks To Power Up Your Resilience And Thrive

“Challenge is what helps us grow.”

Your challenges are your secrets to success.

The power of the pivot series is all about grit, resiliency, and persistence. I am bringing on some special guests to inspire you in this series.

When you have grit you’re able to stay optimistic and determined despite adversity and challenge because the challenge is what helps you grow into stronger, more resilient leaders.

Like anything else, learning to face adversity with courage full speed ahead takes practice.

Before I jump in with my guests I am going to give you five hacks to power up your resilience and thrive.

 

 

 

Hack#1 Check your responses

How you respond when challenges come up has an effect on how quickly you can conquer the challenges, try waiting a few minutes or seconds before you respond rather than react.

Hack #2 Replay good things for happiness

Spend 2 minutes replaying something good that happened before you go to bed or first thing in the morning. I do this after my meditation.

Hack #3 Lean into this opportunity to reinvent yourself

I love this chance to reinvent and rebrand. Almost all of you are undergoing some form of reinvention…so we’re all in it together.

Hack#4 Get used to doing hard things

To embrace challenges, start today with small hard things like making healthier food choices or signing up to do a challenging workout. Challenge yourself to do hard things to build your resiliency muscle, this makes it easier to do bigger hard things.

The more you practice being uncomfortable, the more comfortable you’ll be in times of discomfort.

 

Hack #5 Meditation strengthens your grit

It focuses your mind so that you can eliminate fear, instill confidence, & crank up your motivation. Meditation is my favorite mental toughness upgrade and part of my morning routine! Studies prove that meditation fortifies the brain’s “grit” center.

This is the time to focus on what you do want in your life!

Whole CEO Podcast with Lisa G: 100th Episode Celebration! 🎉

Welcome to my 100th Podcast Episode Celebration!

First of all, thank you for being here, YOU are the reason I do what I do.

Before I introduce you to some special guests, I wanted to share a little backstory on why I launched my podcast WholeCEO.

I personally have had to power up and pivot many times. My life as an entrepreneur has been a bumpy road and that’s why I want to bring you these episodes every week. It’s really not about me and how hard the pandemic has been, I had to pivot and I’m grateful for the adversity because that’s how diamonds are made.

Even though the whole pandemic came on suddenly, coinciding with my birthday on March 15th, 2020, I wanted to inspire all of you to keep going like I kept going. I want to encourage all of you to have resilience and grit too, especially as mental health and physical health have taken such a big hit during covid.

Because if 2020’s taught us anything ya gotta’ have grit!

#1) Have an unstoppable growth mindset. Don’t believe failure is a permanent condition. 

#2) Learn to embrace challenges.

#3) View stumbling blocks not as roadblocks but as speed bumps on the path to mastery.

#4) Try to learn from criticism.

#5) Find lessons and inspiration in the success of others.

#6) Most important is to persist in the face of setbacks.

How To Pivot and Bounce Back Better

When Your Circumstances Change, What Do You Do?

We’ve all been knocked down at some point.  No matter how strong or resilient you are, 2020 changed everything for me and everyone else around me.

Things around us are constantly changing. “Pivot” is just a change in direction.  You’re not on a one-way street forever with no roadblocks!

You’ll need to pivot at some point, both in business & in life I know I have.

I am excited to announce that next week is my 100th podcast launch party “The power to pivot”. The circumstances around you will change.

I want to inspire you to adapt because sometimes when you look for it there can be a silver lining in a pivot. I know there was for me even though it didn’t feel that way at the time!

A pivot starts with the decision to say yes, I’m changing direction.

Change can be the best thing to happen for you.  I know for me the bumpy road of my business & my life was what inspired the podcast! What if you could let go of your past and create the future you’ve always dreamed of?

Change can be scary and it certainly was for me but NOW is the time to take that step and pivot. Expect to be scared when pivoting. But  GO FOR IT. Just start by saying yes, I’m doing this, and then start moving in that direction.

 

How do you pivot? Here are some tips!

 

 

 

Tip # 1: Have the Mindset of a Winner!

Pivots are part of business and life. And we’ve all been tested! Pivots are not failures. If you’re pivoting, you are doing it right. Look at Netflix, Airbnb, Google, Amazon, etc. They all pivoted to massive success!  look at challenges as opportunities to grow & to improve your situation!

 

Tip #2: Look Inward

Why are you pivoting? Is it because what you are doing doesn’t work (anymore) I know for me seeing people in person became impossible so I switched to 100% online? Or is it because everything around you has changed? (as in Corona Virus…). Your motivation is critical so that you don’t fool yourself and stay the course.

 

Tip #3: Practice Self-care

OK, I get it. It’s been an incredibly tough year and 1/2.  2020 has taken a toll on our mental and physical health.

Drinking and overeating to cope doesn’t help.  It feels like self-care, but it’s actually not.

A healthy mind can’t exist in an unhealthy body. Take better care of your body and your mind will follow.

A new quarter is here. It’s the perfect time to let go of negative coping mechanisms and start replacing them with healthy self-care practices that will help you instead of hurt you.

Start by getting up and moving your body daily, even if it only means going for a five-minute walk. Drinking more water, and eat a veggie or two each day. Gradually scale back the use of alcohol, white carbs, and sugar if you know you’re doing it to cope. Ask for help if you need it.

I help my clients build little changes like exercise, eating healthier, and drinking more water to create sustainable lifestyle change and they’re getting amazing results. Remember a healthy mind can’t exist in an unhealthy body. Take better care of your body and your mind will follow.

 

Tip #4: Stumbling blocks don’t have to be roadblocks if you reframe them

Challenges can help you discover what you’re really capable of, they cause you to look inward and find the strength to keep going. Instead of viewing a challenge as a roadblock, you must look at it as a doorway to something better. Today you may not feel hopeful, try to remember that tomorrow will bring a new beginning and a chance to move forward with your life. The playing field has been leveled everyone has experienced difficult times, it’s time to write a new chapter in your life.

 

Tip #5: Get help
